Governor Ron DeSantis Reappoints Two to the Hillsborough College District Board of Trustees

Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the reappointment of Gregory Celestan and Brian Lametto to the Hillsborough College District Board of Trustees.

“Chair Gregory Celestan and Vice Chair Brian Lametto have provided valued leadership to the Hillsborough College District Board of Trustees during their tenure,” said Dr. Ken Atwater, Hillsborough College president. “We are grateful for their continued commitment and look forward to working together to advance the College’s mission of providing exceptional, accessible education that transforms lives.”

Gregory Celestan

Celestan is the chief executive officer and owner of Celestar Corporation. Active in his community, he is a member of the Tampa General Hospital Board of Trustees and The Bank of Tampa board of directors. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Celestan earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering and Russian studies from the U.S. Military Academy and his master’s degree in international affairs from the University of Washington.

Brian Lametto

Lametto is the corporate vice president of operations for New York Life. Previously, he served as a corporate vice president of strategy development and corporate vice president and chief retention officer with New York Life. Lametto earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Alabama.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
