Hillsborough Community College (HCC) will reopen and resume business operations on Wednesday, October 16.
The college is still clearing debris, please be mindful of potential obstacles. As we continue to navigate the recovery process, let’s remain patient and understanding of one another’s situations.
Students taking online courses who are still without power and internet access should contact their professor(s) directly. Faculty have been encouraged to work closely with students to provide the necessary time, support and flexibility to submit any outstanding assignments and complete assessments. Please note, many faculty and staff are still without power, responses may be delayed.
Students, faculty and staff who will experience transportation difficulty due to limited gas availability and/or other storm-related conditions, should contact their supervisor or professor(s).
The HCC Foundation has established a Disaster Relief Fund to support faculty, staff and students affected by recent storms. Donations can be at hccfoundation.com. Students who experienced financial emergencies due to the storm should contact a faculty counselor for consideration of the Dreamsavers Emergency Funding Assistance. Faculty and staff seeking financial aid should email lweddle@hccfl.edu with a request and photos of their losses.
Please visit hccfl.edu/storm for additional resources and recovery efforts.
