Hillsborough Community College District Board of Trustees to Consider New Fees for Spring 2025

Tampa, Fla. – The HCC District Board of Trustees will consider a new program fee at their September meeting. The proposed fees are limited to covering costs incurred by the College and will not generate a profit. The new fees, if approved, would go into effect in the spring of 2025.

The Board of Trustees’ meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 25, at 4 p.m. at the Dr. Gwendolyn Stephenson District Administration Center, Board Room, 4115 N. Lois Avenue, Tampa, FL 33614. Comments on the new fees may be sent to trustees@hccfl.edu and will be shared during the meeting.  

AGENDA ITEM 6.01 – APPROVAL OF COURSE FEES EFFECTIVE SPRING 2025 [NON-CONSENT] These fees were reviewed and if approved by the Board, will go into effect Spring 2025. The purpose of the proposed decreasing and increasing fees are limited to covering costs incurred by the College and will not generate a profit. All fee proceeds listed will be used to pay consumable lab materials and supplies, maintenance, and safety equipment costs.

Nuclear Medicine AS Degree: The proposed lab fee covers the costs incurred by the College and will not generate a profit. The fees for all the Nuclear Medicine courses were reviewed and recalculated. The request is to slightly increase the course fees of two courses and decrease the fees of six courses. Total program fees would be reduced from $745 to $470 per student. That is a savings of $275 per student.

 

NMT 1705L – The current course lab fee is $94. The proposed modified lab fee is $97 per student/semester.
