The HCC District Board of Trustees will consider new course fees at their February meeting. The proposed fees are limited to covering costs incurred by the College and will not generate a profit. The new fees, if approved, would go into effect in fall of 2024.
The Board of Trustees’ meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 28, at 4 p.m. at the Dr. Gwendolyn Stephenson District Administration Center, 4115 N. Lois Ave., Tampa, FL 33614. Comments on the new fees may be sent to
trustees@hccfl.edu and will be shared during the meeting.
AGENDA ITEM 6.XX – APPROVAL OF COURSE FEES EFFECTIVE Spring 2024 [NON-CONSENT] – These fees were reviewed and if approved by the Board, will go into effect Fall 2024. The purpose of the proposed fee increase are due to the costs of travel for a new Culinary and Restaurant Management study abroad practicum. Fees collected for courses are limited to covering the costs incurred by the college and will not generate a profit. All fee proceeds will be used to pay for student travel costs.
Culinary and Restaurant Management Study Abroad: The proposed new fee covers the costs incurred by the college and will not generate a profit. The increased student fee is required to cover costs of faculty and student airfare, lodging, tours and site visits while traveling and studying abroad. The proposed fee is $2,500 dollars per student.
FSS-1945 Food Practicum V – The proposed fee is $2,500 per student. The student fee are for airfare, lodging, tours and site visits.
