Hillsborough Community College (HCC) is partnering with Learning Without Scars (LWS) to create its latest Center of Excellence (COE). As a COE, the College will deliver LWS’ online dealer management educational programs through HCC’s Institute for Corporate and Continuing Education (ICCE).
“ICCE chose to become a LWS Center of Excellence due to their wide breadth of quality training courses directed towards locally relevant career fields that build a further pathway from Hillsborough Community College’s existing automotive service and collision programs,” said HCC Director of Continuing Education and Corporate Training, Ryan Buckthorpe. “This partnership will enhance our ability to be a lifelong learning provider for our existing students and community.”
Students will be able to earn up to 68 continuing education units by completing the LWS Workforce Development classes. Program topics include parts, service, sales, marketing, supply chain, finance and leadership.
The fundamental purpose of Learning Without Scars is to present meaningful and relevant professional educational theories and methods in an understandable manner. Students take away ideas that have the potential to impact productivity, market penetration and profitability in dealerships. They pride themselves in being able to transfer knowledge to students without them having to get the “scars” of mistakes along the way. LWS is an IACET Approved Provider.
