(TAMPA, Fla., 1/10/23) – Hillsborough Community College (HCC) is pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Paynter as the new Dale Mabry Campus Dean of Associate in Science programs.
Paynter has served as a higher education leader and advocate for community college students for 16 years, including his most recent positions at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina as Dean of Educational Partnerships and Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
“We are excited to have Chris join the Dale Mabry Campus,” said Dr. Paige Niehaus, Dale Mabry Campus president. “He brings years of community college experience and an entrepreneurial spirit which will further support and advance our faculty and associate of science programs. Chris also has experience with grant writing and management as well as building community and educational partnerships.”
Paynter holds a master of arts degree in geography from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a bachelor of arts degree in political science from North Carolina State University.
He will assume his position at HCC on January 17, 2023.
