Hillsborough Community College’s (HCC) Institute for Corporate and Continuing Education (ICCE) will begin offering a massage therapy certification beginning August 2023 at the HCC Brandon Campus.
ICCE’s new 500-hour training program is approved by the Florida Board of Massage and meets all the training requirements to become a licensed massage therapist. Program tuition will be $5,800. Students can save by paying in full or have the option to pay as they go at the standard tuition rate.
Students will master massage techniques, explore the history of massage, learn about anatomy and physiology as they relate to massage therapy, learn proper medical terminology, infection control, benefits of massage and how to start a business.
HCC has partnered with Prep Education to provide students with a unique online supplemental study tool that is interactive, hands on and helps to reinforce learning. Students will have access to the online component throughout the course and immediately following while preparing for the required Florida Board of Massage licensure exam.
