The Equus Projects Presents Interspecies Journey at HCC Ybor City

03/22/2023

Hillsborough Community College’s (HCC) Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Series and Dance department will present Interspecies Journey by The Equus Projects on March 31 at 7:30 p.m. at the HCC Dance Studio.

Interspecies Journey is a dance and theater piece that seamlessly merges live dance with excerpts from the film “IMPRINTED.” The live events and film are woven into a fluid tapestry to draw the audience into a world of physical listening and interspecies communication.

General admission tickets are $10. Admission is free for HCC students, faculty and staff with valid ID. The box office opens one hour prior to the performance. Advanced tickets can be purchased at hccfl.edu/dance.

In connection to the performances, there will be Physical Listening workshops hosted by the HCC Dance program on March 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the HCC Dance Studio and on April 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with horses at liberty in pasture at Notquitea Farm in Dade City. Workshops are open to the public. For more information, Christina Acosta at

The HCC Dance Studio is located on the second floor of the Ybor City Campus Child Development Center at 1505 E. Palm Ave., Tampa, FL 33605.
