(Tampa, Fla., 9/26/22) - Hillsborough Community College (HCC) is closely monitoring the track of Hurricane Ian and its potential impact to the Tampa Bay region. Although the path of the storm remains unpredictable, the safety of our students, faculty and staff remains our highest priority. As such, HCC will cancel classes and close all campuses as of Tuesday, September 27 through Sunday, October 2 to allow for our community to make any necessary preparations in advance of Ian’s landfall.
Should the need arise to extend the closure, HCC will communicate these changes via Hawk Alert, the HCC website and social media channels and through the media.
The College will reopen on Monday, October 3. Please visit hccfl.edu/storm for the latest information.
Hillsborough Community College serves more than 42,000 students annually at its five campuses located throughout Tampa Bay. For more information, visit hccfl.edu.
