Ybor Gallery 114 at Hillsborough Community College presents Fractured/Spaces, a juried, multi—disciplinary exhibition of new works featuring the artists of Creatives Exchange Artist Collective. Fractured/Spaces will open with a reception on June 27 from 5 - 7 p.m. featuring a dance performance at 6:15 p.m. The exhibit will run through July 31. A selected panel of artists from Creatives Exchange will participate in a Fractured/Spaces Artist’s Talk on July 17, 5:30 p.m. in Ybor Gallery 114.
Creatives Exchange members bring together diverse histories and unique processes in an array of media and methods of making. Working towards inclusion, we offer multiple perspectives and unique voices. As artists, we are inquisitive by nature and committed to exploring questions related to our individuality as Creatives, our own histories, and how we view our sense of place within a community. Fractured/ Spaces is a visual dialogue of the artists’ individual and collective explorations comprised of photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, painting, glasswork, and dance.
Fractured/Spaces was juried by Amanda Cooper; artists featured include: Jenny Carey, Kimberli Cummings, Melissa Fair, Eileen Goldenberg, Brenda Gregory, Cynthia Hennessy, Candace Knapp, Kim Radatz, Debra Radke, Rose Rosen, and Suzanne Williamson.
Ybor Gallery 114 is located in the Performing Arts Building, first floor, Palm Ave and 15th Street. Regular hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. – 4.pm. & Tuesday noon to 7 p.m. Parking is available in the HCC visitor lots, the Ybor Garage on 15th St. and the Nuccio Parking Garage.
