HCC's Gallery 221 Presents Steve Locke: The Color of Remembering

Hillsborough Community College’s Gallery 221 on the Dale Mabry Campus presents Steve Locke: The Color of Remembering, exhibiting from January 22 - March 7.  An artist reception will be held on Thursday, January 24, from 5-8 p.m.

Steve Locke is a Boston-based artist whose work examines violence, racism, love, sex, and identity. In The Color of Remembering exhibit, Locke directly confronts issues of race and violence in the United States—both past and present—through a selection of photographs from his series Family Pictures and an installation of Three Deliberate Grays for Freddie (A Memorial for Freddie Gray).

Gallery 221 is located on the second floor of the Learning Resources Center (DLRC). The Dale Mabry Campus is located at 4001 W. Tampa Bay Blvd.
