Hillsborough Community College Ybor City Campus Gallery 114 presents Clyde Butcher’s exhibition CUBA: The Natural Beauty in celebration of Hispanic Heritage. The photographs will be on display October 3 - December 6. Meet Clyde for book signing at the Opening Reception on Thursday, October 3 from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. Events are free and open to the public.

The majestic beauty, boldness and depth of Clyde Butcher’s photographs have earned him the recognition of the foremost landscape photographic artist in America today. He has been called the next Ansel Adams by Popular Photography magazine. The silver gelatin hand processing of each photograph hallmarks his work. Clyde was invited to photograph the mountains of Cuba for the United Nations’ Conference for the Sustainable Habitat of the Mountain. This exhibition transcends political boundaries and challenges us to work together to protect natural places across the globe.

The exhibition is sponsored in part by a Resources for Excellence Grant from the HCC Foundation. Gallery 114 is located in the Performing Arts Building, first floor, Palm Ave and 15th Street. Regular hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. & Tuesday noon to 7 p.m. Parking is available in the HCC visitor lots, the Ybor Garage on 15th St and the Nuccio Parking Garage.
