HCC District Board of Trustees Elects New Leaders

The Hillsborough Community College (HCC) District Board of Trustees (DBOT) elected a new chair and vice chair for the 2017-18 academic year at its June 28 board meeting held at the Dr. Gwendolyn W. Stephenson District Administration Center.  Trustee Dipa Shah was elected to serve as the chair, succeeding Brig. Gen. Chip Diehl, Ret., and Trustee Steve Cona III was elected to serve as vice chair, a post previously held by Trustee Dipa Shah.

“I would like to congratulate Trustee Dipa Shah on becoming the chair of the HCC District Board of Trustees,” stated Dr. Ken Atwater, president of Hillsborough Community College.  “Trustee Shah has shown both exemplary leadership and dedication to HCC during her tenure on the board, and I look forward to working with her in this new capacity during the upcoming 2017-18 academic year.”

Additionally, the DBOT is pleased to announce Trustee Randall Reid will serve as a liaison on the HCC Foundation Board of Directors, and Trustee Betty Viamontes will serve as a labor liaison for HCC.
