HCC Students Compete at 2016 Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference

Tampa - Four Hillsborough Community College students competed at last week’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) National Leadership Conference held on June 24-27, in Atlanta, GA.   The students qualified to attend the National Leadership Conference through their participation at the Florida Phi Beta Lambda Leadership Conference held earlier this year on March 17-20 in Orlando, FL. 

Three of the participating students took home honors from the national competition in two categories. 
Future Business Educator - Shawn Zamani (Second Place)
Financial Services - Pietro Carillo, Guilherme Negrao and Shawn Zamani (Second Place)

The Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) is the largest business career student organization in the world, with competitions each spring at State Leadership Conferences.  The top state winners are eligible to compete for honors at the National Leadership Conference each summer. 

Hillsborough Community College serves more than 44,000 students annually at five campuses and three centers throughout Hillsborough County. HCC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
