HCC to host Central West Florida FIRST® LEGO League Regional Robotics Championship

Hillsborough Community College (HCC), in conjunction with the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation, welcomes the Central West Florida FIRST® LEGO League Regional Robotics Championship. On Saturday, February 13, 2016, 36 teams of elementary and middle school students from Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Manatee and Citrus counties will put their engineering skills to the test using LEGO® bricks to build robots at the HCC Trinkle Center in Plant City.
The top four teams will head to the state competition and possibly go on to the FIRST® LEGO League International Invitational Tournaments at LegoLand in Carlsbad, CA and at the University of Arkansas. The international tournaments will feature teams from around the world celebrating their exceptional FIRST LEGO League performances in their countries.
The Central West Florida FIRST® LEGO League Regional Robotics Championship runs from 9am until 4pm at the HCC Trinkle Center located at 1206 N Park Rd, Plant City, FL 33563.
The competition is free and open to the public.
